The whole community is part of our team making Queens Park (The Rec) a better place for all.
As part of our project we have a core team who sit on a committee to raise the funds and take the plans that the community want forward.
Chair – Councillor Ben Berry
Ben Berry is the Conservative Councillor for Windermere. Passionate about his home town Ben believes that the skate park and playground on Queens Park (the Rec) have been neglected for too long. Having been elected as the Councillor for this area in 2017, Ben is determined to change that.
Secretary – Alternatively held between Agi Tasker and Vikki Bolton
Vikki Bolton was born in Kendal and brought up in Windermere. Having moved away to study at University and for her graduate job Vikki returned to Windermere in 2008. Now a secondary Science teacher and a mum of two she feels very passionately about having an up to date and safe outdoor space for local children and the generations to come.
Aggie originally from Poland, moved to Windermere in 2006 and has worked in the hospitality industry along side her husband for many years. Now starting her own business, and being a mum of two she believes that it’s essential for kids development to have a safe and fun playground where they can broaden their imaginations.
Community and Press Relations – Amy Brunton
Originally from Edinburgh, Amy met her now fiancé at Aberdeen University and moved to Windermere in 2006. Since moving she has started her own eventing business and works closely with the Lakes Hospitality Association. She has two young children who love the great outdoors and the local parks that this part of the world has to offer.
Our other hard work committee member – Morgan Doughty
Morgan Doughty was born in Kendal and has lived in Windermere his whole life. He picked up a BMX at the age of eight and hasn’t stopped riding since, Morgan hopes to compete at Amateur level and bring more people into the sport!
